This is what the headlines of the local paper "Freie Presse" sounded like in the issue of 9/15-16/2001. Nadine Koch's investigations show the results that were published afterwards.

The fact that Schöneck got the title "community worth living in" is not surprising, because since 1990 a lot of the exterior appearance has been changed towards the positive side in the highest town of the Vogtland region. A fundamental subterranean and surface redevelopment led to the fact that one can call Schöneck inviting, safe and clean.
